A few months ago, my friend and I crossed off Lower Calf Creek Falls from our Utah bucket list and IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL! We hiked the Lower Calf Creek Falls trail to get to this beautiful (and chilly) waterfall! The hike was super scenic and it was a bit of a workout! Check out the video and photos below to get a better idea of what to expect when hiking this awesome trail. Let me know if you’d like to join me next time!
Check out the video below and let me know if you can see how tired we were!
While it wasn’t a super long hike (5.84 miles roundtrip)…what made it difficult was that most of the trail is really sandy so you’re definitely working out your legs.
I loved the diversity in the terrain of this trail. There was sand, rocks, plant life, water, literally anything you could think of!
I also really liked that it was a pretty solitary hike. It’s a great trail to do if you need some alone time, just make sure that you sign the trail book before you set off so that people can find you in case you get lost.
In the time that we went, it was also a little windy and you could hear the wind pretty loudly which made you feel super in tune with nature.
I can’t wait to go back to Utah, it is seriously one of my favorite places!
Just look at the walls, there is so much detail! I snapped over 100 photos because everything was gorgeous and it was really hard to narrow it down to these few photos.
The water was really chilly but it didn’t take away from the beauty of the final destination. As you sit and enjoy your post hike snack, it’s great to feel the sprinkling of the water splashing onto you. We even saw a newly engaged couple taking photos here, it was really romantic!
I hope this video and the photos inspire you to go on a road trip to Utah or at least find a campground near you and get some nature in your life!
