My favorite part about exploring anything in Kona was that you are always surrounded by such beautiful greenery. This was the road leading to Mountain Thunder Coffee Plantation.
I would recommend booking a tour but you are also free to just walk around the plantation which is what we did prior to our tour. The benefits of a tour are that you have a very knowledgeable guide who can answer any and all of your questions.
During the tour, you also get the opportunity to try their different coffees! My favorite was the black and tan roast.
During this trip, I was not a coffee drinker but even as a non coffee-drinker, I could recognize the quality and the amazing taste. I’m a big coffee drinker and I need to go back to truly enjoy it!
Since I wasn’t a big coffee drinker, I did make sure to sample and buy their other treats including their chocolate covered coffee beans which were delicious!
