Phoenix, Arizona is the perfect place to live if you have an adventurous soul and love roadtrips. There are so many locations nearby where you can have an incredible day trip. Today, let’s talk about Prescott: Arizona’s Christmas City!

You may not have heard of Prescott unless you are from Arizona and I am here to change that! Prescott is a city North of Phoenix and there is a lot to eat, see and do here.

Food & Drink

My favorite restaurant in Prescott is Raven Cafe as it has a wide variety of items on their menu and my favorite place to grab a drink is Superstition Meadery. Check out The Ultimate Prescott Food and Drink Bucket List for all of my favorites.

Hiking

Prescott has truly beautiful hikes with even better weather. My two favorite hikes are the Thumb Butte hike if you want more of a workout and also The Dells at Watson Lake if you want an easier hike but still have amazing views.

Nightlife

There are quite a few bars on Whiskey Row that are always fun to visit. Whiskey Row refers to saloons from the Gold Rush era that were rebuilt on this street after being destroyed by a fire in 1900.

What to See & Do

You can rent kayaking equipment and kayak at Watson Lake.

You can take a tour of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

You can explore Arizona’s Christmas City in the winter as there are quite a bit of fun decorations around Prescott.
