Two weeks ago, I crossed off bucket list item #542: visit Horseshoe Bend in Page, Arizona and IT. WAS. BREATHTAKING. I’ve seen pictures of Horseshoe Bend online, but trust me when I say that the photos do not do this beautiful place justice. Like at all. It’s such a ridiculously wondrous place that it almost looks photoshopped (even in person!). It looks and feels surreal.
The Ultimate University of Arizona Bucket List!
Since Enthusiastic About Life started with my graduation bucket list when I was at the University of Arizona, I figured I should share the Ultimate University of Arizona Bucket List. It’s the perfect time to share because classes just started! Senior year FLIES by so definitely start crossing some of these items ASAP.
But I have to remind you, it’s not about how many items you cross off, but how many memories you make and how epic you make your last year at the best university in the world! Let me know if there are any other bucket list items that I may have missed, enjoy!
Enthusiastic About Life Turns 1 Year Old!
Can you all believe it?! A year ago today on a sunny afternoon, Enthusiastic About Life went live. Today Enthusiastic About Life is now officially 1 year old. I can’t believe that it’s been 1 full year of the blog! Get the champagne and let’s start poppin’ bottles to celebrate.
A Very Magical Evening: Harry Potter Midnight Release Party!
Three weeks ago, I was able to cross off a bucket list item that I have literally been waiting years to cross off! Item #390: go to a midnight release party for a book.
When I was younger and reading the Harry Potter series my parents never let me go, because I was too young but I’m old enough now! Attending the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Midnight Release party was the perfect excuse for me to go relive my childhood.
Painting For A Cause: As You Wish Pottery Painting Place!
The month of August is a great time to get creative and maybe discover a new hobby! You may be asking yourself ‘But why is August a great month to get creative?’….well the answer is simple. The entire month of August, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Arizona and As You Wish Pottery Painting Place have teamed up.
Up until August 31st, if you go to any As You Wish location in the valley, you will have the opportunity to ’round up for charity’ and help a fantastic organization (BBBS) reach even more kids.
Here’s how it works:
Getting Interviewed by Spot127!
Original post published on 7/13/16. Updated on 8/2/16 to add interview at end of this article. Click here to skip to interview.
Yesterday was a pretty eventful day. I found out about an awesome organization in Phoenix AND I also crossed off bucket list item #32 with my little sister: be interviewed to be on the radio!
Hiking in Malibu : Escondido Falls Trail!
This week I’ve taken full advantage of the California weather to get some good hikes in, because we all know that it’s pretty miserable to be hiking in Arizona right now (it’s just way too hot). Besides hiking Point Dume State Beach, my friends and I also hiked Escondido Falls Trail!
Check out the video below:
It was an awesome hike because we were in the shade about 80% of the time, there were plenty of trees and beautiful views, and some climbing (which is always fun). This hike starts out easy but as you start climbing, it becomes a moderate level hike.
Hiking in Malibu: Point Dume State Beach!
I think I have found my new favorite spot in California. If you’ve never been to Malibu, pack your bags and make some plans because it really is a beautiful place. I hiked Point Dume State Beach in Malibu, California with some friends and the views at the end of that hike were PHENOMENAL.
Check out the video for the hike below:
The hike itself wasn’t super difficult but since it was our 2nd hike of the day (Escondido Falls Trail was the first hike and the video/post will be coming next week, stay tuned!) and it was a little warm out, we were exhausted by the time we reached the top.
Getting Soaked at Montmorency Falls in Canada!
Raise your hand if you have ever heard of Canada Day! Up until about a week ago, I would not have been able to raise my hand because I had no idea that Canada Day existed! This has all changed, because I spent the past week in Canada (Montreal and Quebec City, to be exact) learning all about Canada Day, Canadian culture, food, and adventure! I’ll be talking about all things Canada in a ton of future posts coming up, but today we are going to learn all about Montmorency Falls (the other famous falls in Canada!).
I’ve never visited a water fall as big as Montmorency Falls…the closest I’ve gotten to a waterfall has been hiking to Seven Falls in Tucson (check out the hiking bucket list for those deets), so crossing off this bucket list item was super exciting for me!
Check out this fun video for a sneak peek into the falls!
The falls were absolutely beautiful and I learned a ton from our wonderful tour guide Rock (as in Rock n’ Roll).
3 Reasons To Go To A Mexico Soccer Game!
Last year, I crossed off bucket list item #17: watch a Mexico soccer game in person when I watched Mexico play against Guatemala in the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup (Copa Oro). I was really hoping to witness an epic Mexico goal that I had heard so much about, but unfortunately the game ended in a tie (0-0). This year, i came back to the Copa America Centenario (#Copa100) hoping to witness a goal. Little did I know, that I would witness THREE. If you’ve never been to a Mexico soccer game, you need to go. Honestly, you need to go to any big soccer game (it doesn’t matter if your home country is playing, I believe everyone should go at least once in their lives). Check out the top three reasons to see a Mexico soccer game in person!
