I just got back from the best vacation in Palm Springs and as I was planning my trip I was pleasantly surprised to see that there is so much to do there!
Check out all of my recommendations in Palm Springs and let me know if I need to add others!
Where To Stay
There are so many beautiful and boutique hotels all over downtown Palm Springs and in the surrounding areas. If you are looking for a trendy spot with a great pool and a club next door, then I highly recommend Hotel Sozo!
Nightlife
Depending on what kind of nightlife you are looking for, will depend where you go. We stayed at Hotel Sozo and Pretty Faces Night Club was right next door! We didn’t get a chance to make it but I know we will for sure next time.
Food & Drink
There is so much to eat and drink in Palm Springs, that I’ve had to create an entire post about it.
Check out The Ultimate Palm Springs Food and Drink Bucket List! My favorite restaurant in Palm Springs is a tie between Tac/Quila and Blue Coyote.
Palm Springs has two breweries that we really enjoyed: Las Palmas and La Quinta Brewing Co. Las Palmas had more of a date night vibe and La Quinta Brewing Co. had more of a group outing vibe. I recommend both and we definitely went to both several times while we were in Palm Springs.
I also saw that several places offered unlimited champagne for $5/6 including Pinocchio’s and Bongo Johnny’s if that’s what you’re looking for!
Hiking
I highly recommend that you take some time to check out Tahquitz Canyon Trail as it is beautiful and leads to a waterfall! It’s a pretty easy hike with just a few areas that are steep and uphill. It took us one hour to complete the hike.
We stayed in downtown Palm Springs and it’s possible to walk about 25-30 minutes to get to the hike if you want more of a workout or you can just drive.
There is a $15 entrance fee per person and you are required to carry at least 16 ounces of water before starting the hike.
Shopping
There are so many large stores and also boutique shops to check out while you’re in Palm Springs! I bought some clothing as well as a few souvenirs. I also recommend you check out the Balboa Candy store!
What to See & Do
Now here is the main part of this bucket list, what to see/do! There are still of items I have yet to cross off so I listed those at the end. Enjoy the list and let me know what else needs to be added!
Check out the giant 26 foot Marilyn Monroe statue
Did you know Marilyn Monroe was discovered in Palm Springs? I recommend you check out the statue both at night and during the day!
Museum of Art and outside art
If you have time, check out the Museum of Art but if you don’t have time you can still walk around and enjoy the outdoor art all around Palm Springs.
Walk of the Stars
It’s so fun to walk around Palm Springs and check out the Walk of the Stars!
The Best Bookstore in Palm Springs
If you’re a big reader (or even if you’re not), you should check out The Best Bookstore because the staff is so friendly and they have a huge selection of books! I ended up buying two books because the staff and one of the customers couldn’t stop gushing about the books on display.
