Tempe, Arizona is the home to Arizona State University but it is so much more than that. It’s a city full of delicious restaurants, great places to hike, and so much to do!

Food & Drink
My favorite restaurant in Tempe is Casa Reynoso has some of the best red and green chile plates in the valley. I especially love that you can get a half plate which also includes rice and beans. Check out The Ultimate Tempe Food and Drink Bucket List for all of my favorites.
Hiking
A Mountain in Tempe is a nice, short hike that will still get your heart rate up. You get amazing views of Tempe and will likely run into a ton of college students!
Nightlife
There are quite a few bars on Mill Ave that are always fun to visit.

Four Peaks Brewery Tour
Check out Four Peaks for a beer (or two!). You might also be able to ask for a brewery tour.
Tea Experience at Drink Me Tea Room
Do you love tea (or cocktails), snacks and a place with a great theme? If so, then I HIGHLY recommend Drink Me Tea Room in Tempe! I checked out their Magical World of Afternoon Tea earlier this year and it was epic and full of Harry Potter nostalgia. The teas are all so delicious, you can even get cocktails, and the snacks are all tasty! I personally really loved the scones. They’re plant based and gluten free so if you have any allergies or intolerances this is the spot for you! They go all out with decorating the tea room for each event and you’re definitely encouraged to dress up! Check out their calendar of events to see what they have coming up!
Run at Tempe Town Lake
Tempe Town Lake has the best running routes!
Kayaking at Kiwanis Park
It was such a blast, especially since I went with my little sister! We went to Kiwanis Park in Tempe and Wheel Fun Rentals hooked us up with a free rental because we are part of the Big Bros Big Sis program! Definitely recommend renting a pedal boat, it’s super fun! Unfortunately, Wheel Fun Rentals is no longer at Kiwanis Park but Tempe Town Lake has similar items to rent!
