The Ultimate Medellin Bucket List!

We made it to Medellin and it quickly became one of my favorite places in Colombia! The architecture is beautiful, there are so many amazing things to eat, and the city is full of history. Check out The Ultimate Medellin Bucket List and let me know if you’re inspired to visit!

Where to eat and drink

I was only in Medellin for 24 hours but during my time there, I had the most delicious Colombian food! I don’t particularly remember the restaurants we tried but here you can get an idea of what to expect when you go to Medellin! Check out The Ultimate Medellin Food and Drink Bucket List!

Check out the churches

There are so many beautiful churches in all of Colombia and Medellin is no exception! So many people hang out outside of churches so it’s fun to take in the beautiful architectures, people watch and enjoy a snack as there are vendors selling fruit and other things to eat!

Pueblito Paisa

Pueblito Paisa is located at the top of Cerro Nutibara (Nutibara Hill). It’s a very popular tourist attraction in Medellín. I personally loved how colorful all of the buildings were!

Nutibara Hill

Nutibara Hill is a rocky hill formation located in the geographic center of the Aburrá Valley and on the west bank of the Medellín River. It is one of the few ecosystems that is conserved in Medellín and is considered one of the city’s seven “guardian” hills.  There is so much lush greenery and you can get some incredible views of the city as well! Check out more photos here!

Plaza Botero

Botero Plaza, surrounded by the Museum of Antioquia and the Rafael Uribe Uribe Palace of Culture, is an outdoor park that displays 23 sculptures by Colombian artist Fernando Botero.

Explore Medellin

We walked around Medellin and found this ‘Amor’ or ‘Love’ sculpture!

Day trip to Guatape

When I visited Colombia for the first time, I absolutely fell in love with Guatape, a town Northeast of Medellin. The best part is that a bus ticket to Guatape from Medellin is only about $5 USD one way! Guatape is known as Colombia’s most colorful town. Check out The Ultimate Guatape Bucket List and let me know if you’re inspired to visit!
