I am beyond honored and thrilled to have been a part of a group of SHPE (Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers) members who attended a briefing on “Building the Next Generation of Hispanic Leaders in STEM” held by the Office of Public Engagement at the White House in Washington, DC and organized by SHPE’s Government Relations department.

It has been an immense privilege to be a SHPE member since 2010 and to be a witness to SHPE’s growth and impact throughout the years.

As the daughter of Mexican immigrants, I can honestly say that this is something I never thought I would have the opportunity to experience. Thank you SHPE for your commitment to helping so many of us succeed and for continuing to have conversations that matter.

Having a seat at the table is something I do not take lightly and I was proud to represent Honeywell in highlighting the value of building a diverse workforce.

Broken Arrow trail in Sedona is a beautiful hike with amazing views and it’s a great workout at the same time. It’s a 2.8 mile out and back trail that is considered moderately challenging. It’s a very popular hike and you are likely to encounter some Jeep tours while you’re hiking! Check out 8 of my favorite photos to inspire you to hike!

I am IN LOVE with my latest winery road trip. If you’ve never been to Valle de Guadalupe (aka Mexican Wine Country), then I highly encourage you to plan a trip! If you are a fan of wine, beautiful views and amazing Mexican food…then Valle de Guadalupe is for you!

I heard it’s referred to as the Napa of Baja and honestly I agree! I’ve been to Napa (and loved it, check out The Ultimate Napa Valley Bucket List) but I think Valle de Guadalupe has my heart. There’s something about going to the motherland and seeing all of the beauty that Mexico has to offer.

I used to think that places that were known for their wine wouldn’t have delicious food but Napa Valley and now Valle De Guadalupe in beautiful Mexico have proven me wrong!

As I was planning my trip I was pleasantly surprised to see that there are a ton of incredible restaurants there! After visiting for a few days and trying so many different kinds of cuisine, I can guarantee that no matter what you like to eat, you’ll find a great spot in Valle De Guadalupe (VDG). I highly recommend that you make reservations ahead of time if you don’t want to wait for a table.

While in Valle De Guadalupe, we organized our own winery tour by researching a ton of wineries, selecting the ones that sounded the best, and then we hired a driver through our hotel to take us to each spot.

We checked out Lechuza Vineyard and we loved it! They had amazing wine in a beautiful location and the staff was super nice and hooked us up with additional tastings!

One of the wineries we visited was Villa Montefiori where they had the best views and really good wine!

While in Valle De Guadalupe, we organized our own winery tour by researching a ton of wineries, selecting the ones that sounded the best, and then we hired a driver through our hotel to take us to each spot. Our first stop was Vena Cava Vinicola and we LOVED it! The wine was incredible and the staff was so knowledgeable and friendly.

The winery was designed by Architect Alejandro D’acosta, and you can see reclaimed fishing boats and other recycling materials all around which we thought was super cool!
