I was super excited to visit Positano and check out a beach club because I had heard that it’s a must do experience and it definitely was!
Beach clubs are venues that sit on a beachfront location where you can reserve your spot online/via phone call and just show up with a bathing suit because most beach clubs provide chairs with umbrellas, towels, and showers. Most also have a restaurant where you can order food and drinks and eat it at the chairs or at the restaurant. It’s truly the best way to enjoy a day at the beach! There are two beaches on Positano but I personally loved Fornillo Beach over Spiagga Grande because it was less crowded, quieter and the food/drinks were more affordable.
You can show up without a reservation but I wouldn’t recommend that because there might not be any spots left or you might not be as close to the beach as you’d like. Also note that one reservation includes two beach chairs not just one.
It was amazing enjoying delicious pasta and cocktails at Fornillo Beach. You can either eat at the restaurant or bring your food/drinks down to your chairs! We did both.
Fornillo Beach Club had Da Ferdinando restaurant and to this day is one of my favorite places to eat. We tried the eggplant parmesan as a starter and it was so good!
The Spaghetti alla Nerano was also amazing. It had fried zucchini which honestly to me didn’t sound all that good but it was EXCELLENT! So much flavor!
The pesto spaghetti was also incredible!
There’s nothing better than a spritz to enjoy at the beach or with lunch!
