The Ultimate Positano Food and Drink Bucket List!

If you like incredible food then I highly recommend you book a trip to Positano. There are so many amazing restaurants with a large variety of food! Check out all of my favorite restaurants in Positano listed in the order of breakfast, lunch, aperitivo, and dinner. Let me know which sounds the best!

BUCA DI BACCO HOTEL BREAKFAST

I love that in Italy most restaurants give you free breakfast! I personally loved getting croissants/other pastries, eggs, bacon/other breakfast proteins, fruit, and a cappuccino every morning!

COLLINA

We stopped at Collina to grab a quick cup of coffee and it was tasty!

RISTORANTE MAX

Ristorante Max was a great restaurant if you are looking for classic Italian dishes. I had the rigatoni al Ragu Napoletano that came with meatballs made of sausage and pork. The meatballs had so much flavor!

Matt tried a pasta dish with shredded beef, I cannot remember the name but it was a very hearty dish that would be perfect for winter!

DA FERDINAND

It was amazing enjoying delicious pasta and cocktails at Fornillo Beach. You can either eat at the restaurant or bring your food/drinks down to your chairs! We did both. Feel free to check out my full review of Fornillo Beach here.

Fornillo Beach Club had Da Ferdinando restaurant and to this day is one of my favorite places to eat. We tried the eggplant parmesan as a starter and it was so good!

The Spaghetti alla Nerano was also amazing. It had fried zucchini which honestly to me didn’t sound all that good but it was EXCELLENT! So much flavor!

The pesto spaghetti was also incredible!

There’s nothing better than a spritz to enjoy at the beach or with lunch!

BUCA DI BACCO HOTEL APERITIVO

The same breakfast area for our hotel’s breakfast also serves afternoon/evening drinks.

LA GIARA ROOFTOP BAR

If you want to check out an amazing rooftop bar with the best views of Positano, I highly encourage you to check out La Giara rooftop bar! Be warned, there’s a million steps to get here but it’s so worth it!

OCEAN BAR

There are several beach clubs/restaurants in the main area of Positano with amazing views. We tried Ocean Bar for a quick aperitivo (small snacks) and ordered some cocktails as well!

DA VINCENZO POSITANO 1958

When researching for our trip to Positano, we read several articles about restaurants to try and Da Vincenzo kept popping up! It’s a really cute restaurant with amazing food! They also have a Michelin Star so you know it has to be good.

I don’t recall what these were called but they were basically little pockets of incredible dough with tomato sauce, basil and cheese. It felt like a gourmet pizza pocket!

I tried the seafood risotto and it was amazing! I could drink that broth all day.

Matt tried the catch of the day and it was so fresh and flaky!

We had to get dessert and both were amazing! Who can say no to chocolate mousse, nougat, and gelato?

LA TAVERNE DU LEON

La Taverne Du Leon is a more upscale restaurant and I highly recommend it. It’s a little removed from the main area but they do have a shuttle to pick you up and drop you off if needed. We tried the truffle pasta and the ravioli. Both were excellent!

The ricotta cheesecake was also perfectly balanced!

The other dessert we tried was an almond one that was unique but tasty.

LE TRE SORELLE

Le Tre Sorelle is another really popular restaurant in Positano. It’s super close to Spiagga Grande and the main area of Positano so it gets very busy. I loved the bruschetta that they give you before your meal.

I was told that the lobster pasta was a must-try and I definitely agree! The lobster was delicious and again, the broth/sauce was so good!

Matt tried the clam spaghetti and it was delicious!

GELATO

If you find yourself in Positano, definitely try the gelato. I had the almond gelato and Matt had the cookies and cream. Both were amazing! I don’t remember the name of the place but it was in a general store near the bus stop.
