The Ultimate Rome Food and Drink Bucket List!

If you like incredible food then I highly recommend you book a trip to Rome. There are delicious restaurants in almost every corner and some have been there for several decades. Check out all of my favorite restaurants in Rome and let me know which sounds the best!

CIAMPINI

We stopped at Ciampini for an aperitivo (cocktails and light bites) but a few years ago, I had the pizza here and it was delicious! When you order cocktails, you also get a variety of light bites. My favorite was the tiny pizza!

We tried the aperol spritz and the huge spritz here. Both were some of the best we had!

EXE INTERNATIONAL (HOTEL BREAKFAST)

We had the breakfast at our hotel because it was included, convenient, and an affordable way to fuel up for all of the walking we were going to do. We also had coffee here. I definitely recommend trying the hotel breakfast wherever you stay.

TRATTORIA DA ENZO AL 29

After several recommendations from friends and the internet we checked out Trattoria Da Enzo Al 29 in Rome and were blown away!

First off, it’s in the Trastevere neighborhood which means it’s in a super cute area! They get very busy so I encourage everyone to get there at least an hour before they open to get in line. As you wait in line you can talk to other people, order limoncello spritz (or beer), and then when tables open you can enjoy amazing food like this carbonara pasta and the amatriciana!

The bread basket was also so good! Their specialty appetizer is the fried artichoke and I highly recommend it!

The pasta is homemade, the sauce is excellent, and the dish itself is simple yet made with quality ingredients. I wholeheartedly recommend Da Enzo if you’re ever in Rome!

The tiramisu was also excellent!

MATRICIANELLA

If you’re craving amazing cacio e pepe or bucatini amatriciana, then stop by Matricianella, a restaurant that has been around since 1957! The service is excellent and the pasta is incredible.

Bucatini Amatriciana is my favorite pasta dish and whenever I see it on a menu, I always get it. I love the size of the pasta and the sauce is always so rich and delicious! The guanciale in Bucatini Amatriciana is a gamechanger!
