Two weeks ago, I crossed off bucket list item #542: visit Horseshoe Bend in Page, Arizona and IT. WAS. BREATHTAKING. I’ve seen pictures of Horseshoe Bend online, but trust me when I say that the photos do not do this beautiful place justice. Like at all. It’s such a ridiculously wondrous place that it almost looks photoshopped (even in person!). It looks and feels surreal.
Since Enthusiastic About Life started with my graduation bucket list when I was at the University of Arizona, I figured I should share the Ultimate University of Arizona Bucket List. It’s the perfect time to share because classes just started! Senior year FLIES by so definitely start crossing some of these items ASAP.
But I have to remind you, it’s not about how many items you cross off, but how many memories you make and how epic you make your last year at the best university in the world! Let me know if there are any other bucket list items that I may have missed, enjoy!
Can you all believe it?! A year ago today on a sunny afternoon, Enthusiastic About Life went live. Today Enthusiastic About Life is now officially 1 year old. I can’t believe that it’s been 1 full year of the blog! Get the champagne and let’s start poppin’ bottles to celebrate.
Raise your hand if you have ever heard of Canada Day! Up until about a week ago, I would not have been able to raise my hand because I had no idea that Canada Day existed! This has all changed, because I spent the past week in Canada (Montreal and Quebec City, to be exact) learning all about Canada Day, Canadian culture, food, and adventure! I’ll be talking about all things Canada in a ton of future posts coming up, but today we are going to learn all about Montmorency Falls (the other famous falls in Canada!).
I’ve never visited a water fall as big as Montmorency Falls…the closest I’ve gotten to a waterfall has been hiking to Seven Falls in Tucson (check out the hiking bucket list for those deets), so crossing off this bucket list item was super exciting for me!

The falls were absolutely beautiful and I learned a ton from our wonderful tour guide Rock (as in Rock n’ Roll).
Last year, I crossed off bucket list item #17: watch a Mexico soccer game in person when I watched Mexico play against Guatemala in the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup (Copa Oro). I was really hoping to witness an epic Mexico goal that I had heard so much about, but unfortunately the game ended in a tie (0-0). This year, i came back to the Copa America Centenario (#Copa100) hoping to witness a goal. Little did I know, that I would witness THREE. If you’ve never been to a Mexico soccer game, you need to go. Honestly, you need to go to any big soccer game (it doesn’t matter if your home country is playing, I believe everyone should go at least once in their lives). My birthday is next week but I’ll be celebrating early because my mom and I share a birthday. This weekend I’ll be celebrating myself and next weekend, we will celebrate her. Yes you read that right, I was born on my mom’s birthday. I like to joke that I was a painful gift, but my mom says that I was the best birthday gift she has ever gotten. She’s so cute, I know.
When my birthday comes around, I get into a weird mood where I look back at what I’ve done in my life. I like to think that I try my best to live an enthusiastic life and surround myself with the best people. Before I turn 24, join me in looking back at 24 of my favorite bucket list items. Maybe you will get inspired and add some of these items to your own bucket list (kind of like a remix on the infamous 30 Under 30 bucket list). Enjoy!
If you like peaches even a little bit, you need to add the Peach Festival at Schnepf Farms to your bucket list!
Last Sunday my little sister and I crossed off bucket list item #310: Peach Festival at Schnepf Farms! Unfortunately, the Peach Festival has ended but there will be other events at this farm. Make sure you keep an eye out for next May so that you can check out the Peach Festival!
It was such a blast, especially because my little sister joined me. When we arrived at the farm, I was a little shocked at how big the actual farm is. It seriously looked like it went on for miles (which it probably does). And because the farm is so big, the festival didn’t seem super crowded which is nice for those people who don’t like crowds.
This past weekend, I ran in the Gildan Esprit de She 5K race in Tempe and it was an absolute blast. I knew it would be a fun experience because I ran it last year but oh my goodness, they upped their game this year.
This race was literally the definition of Treat Yo Self day from the hit show Parks and Recreation.
Last Saturday, I was able to cross off bucket list item #20 (once again) when I ran another 5K! This year is definitely the year of running for me. Check out the video below of the Phoenix Bubble Run 5K to really get a sense of what the run was like (trust me, I got some pretty cool shots running through the bubbles). It’s only 2 minutes long, which I know you have time for! 🙂
I ran the Phoenix Bubble Run 5K with my 3 adult cousins, 3 baby cousins, and 1 friend and it was AN ABSOLUTE BLAST. I knew it would be interesting, but I had no idea how much I would laugh, cheer, and smile.
I’ve been a Big Sister in the Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) program for a little over a year now and I can tell you that it is definitely bucket list worthy. If you are debating on joining the program or even thought about it a little, I’m here to help. 🙂
