The Ultimate Sorrento Bucket List!

Prior to starting to plan my trip to Italy’s Amalfi Coast, I’ll admit that I had never heard of Sorrento, but after doing some research it quickly became my most anticipated part of the trip.

I was super excited to visit Sorrento because everything I read online told me that it was a hidden gem and I found that to be extremely true! Sorrento is beautiful, a lot less crowded than Positano, more affordable, and the food is incredible! We stayed at Hotel Bellevue Syrene, a 5 star hotel with its own beach club that I 1000% recommend.

Check out the Ultimate Sorrento Bucket List and let me know I’ve convinced you to book a trip!

Where To Stay

We stayed at Hotel Bellevue Syrene and it was perfect for us as it was right next to the main area, around a lot of restaurants, and we had the best views of Sorrento!

Pictured above is the view from our room!

Breakfast was also included and the staff was so friendly and helpful.

Food & Drink

My favorite restaurant was Il Buco as I had one of the best pasta dishes of my life there. Check out The Ultimate Sorrento Food and Drink Bucket List!

I ordered the Spaghetti with lemon scented scorpion fish with bottarga (dried fish roe) and sun-dried tomatoes and it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had in my life. I have never tried bottarga but it was incredible!

What To Do

CHECK OUT A BEACH CLUB

Beach clubs are venues where you can show up with a bathing suit because most beach clubs provide chairs with umbrellas, towels, and showers. Most also have a restaurant where you can order food and drinks and eat it at the chairs or at the restaurant.

The best part about the beach club at the Hotel Bellevue Syrene is that you do not need to make a reservation as the beach club is only for hotel guests. There were plenty of spots when we stayed there in July which is considered the high season.

ENJOY THE VIEWS

EXPLORE MARINA GRANDE

You definitely have to check out the Marina Grande, a really cool area with restaurants, shops, and it’s right near the water so you’ll have amazing views of the Gulf of Naples.
