Sedona, Arizona is a very popular tourist destination but it’s also a pretty popular place for locals especially when it comes to dining. My favorite part about Sedona dining is the variety of your options and literally every meal I’ve ever had there is just so good! Check out three restaurants by the Wild Thyme Restaurant Group that you need to add to your food bucket list.
MOLÉ FINE CUISINE OF MEXICO
Mole is a restaurant at the Arabella Hotel in Sedona which makes it very convenient if you’re staying there for your Sedona adventure. If you are a fan of elevated Mexican food, then Mole will be a favorite.
Their cocktail list is impressive and the Mezcalita (Bruxo Mezcal, blood orange puree, lime, agave) is hands down one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had in my life! The chips are unique and tasty and the salsa was flavorful with a hint of spice but nothing too overpowering.
The mole con pollo asado enchiladas were my personal favorite. You can tell that the mole and the tortillas are homemade because the flavor just comes through.
The skirt steak tanquieno is another favorite. It is seville orange marinated prime skirt steak with potato brava and green guacachile salsa. I’ve been to Spain and the potato brava at Mole definitely stand up to the authentic side dish!
I asked the server whether she recommended the rice or beans and she told me to get both and I’m so glad she did! Both were delicious and a great way to complete the meal.
I highly recommend you don’t leave without trying their desserts! I tried the churros filled with goat’s milk caramelo and vanilla ice cream and both were so good. I left very stuffed but it was so worth it as everything on the menu was phenomenal.
STAGECOACH COUNTRY ROADHOUSE
If you’re craving steaks and a night out with live music and a mechanical bull, then look no further than Stagecoach Country Roadhouse in Sedona!
I started with the smoked lemon pepper wings and smoked wings are the only wings I will ever eat now. The smoky flavor comes through and the wings were perfectly juicy!
The brisket was the special on Saturday night so of course I had to try it and it was delicious! The sides were just as good with some of the best macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had as well as some tasty parmesan truffle fries that were perfectly crispy.
The prime rib with the crispy onion strips was also very good. I love that the crispy onion strips are half garnish/half side.
Again, make sure you do not leave without trying their dessert. I had the chocolate chip cookie with ice cream and it was so delicious and made to order!
JAY BIRD’S NASHVILLE HOT CHICKEN
Last but not least, I was pleasantly surprised to find a Nashville hot chicken spot in Sedona. Ever since I visited Nashville in 2021 and tried authentic Nashville hot chicken, I’ve been on the lookout for a way to experience it again. Jay Bird’s Nashville Hot Chicken is the best spot to grab a quick meal after a long hike or honestly if you’re just craving hot chicken.
I tried the white meat with fries which included a breast and wing, spiced with your choice of heat (hot of course), served with sliced bread, dill pickles, spicy fries, and one sauce. The heat level was perfect as it was spicy but not too spicy where I couldn’t enjoy the chicken.
I also tried the chicken sandwich and the coleslaw perfectly balanced the sandwich. Their homemade lemonades and sweet tea are the best way to wash down all of this deliciousness.
A huge thank you to the Wild Thyme Restaurant Group for hosting me and letting me try three of their Sedona restaurants.
